An epoxy concrete floor coating can be the perfect solution for a durable floor that makes a beautiful first impression. Epoxy flooring is a flooring surface made up of multiple layers of epoxy applied to the floor to a depth of at least two millimeters.

The difference between an epoxy floor and an epoxy floor coating lies in the depth. Any epoxy floor less than two millimeters thick is known as a coating. Epoxy is made up of resins and hardeners. The resin and hardener are mixed together.

They chemically react, forming a rigid plastic material that is strong, resistant to degradation, and which bonds extremely well to its substrate. Epoxy floors are incredibly strong and can be used in the most demanding industrial environments as well as provide a beautiful addition to a regular trafficked floor.
Demands of floors today are high. They need to be functional and efficient, making choosing a type of flooring difficult. Chemistry allowed for the development of high grade epoxy resin to upgrade surfaces, obtain colored effects, protect floors against corrosion, and achieve a water tight effect. All of these qualities provide longer durability of surfaces.

An epoxy floor coating is created when different individual components are combined to achieve a high grade, loadable, and long lived coating surface. The surface of the original floor must be prepared with a primer before being coated and sealed. The coating thickness and selection of coating system depends on application and surface.

Epoxy floor coatings are very reliable. They can meet today's stringent floor demands. The resins in epoxy can be adjusted according to the need to hardness and elasticity and developed specifically for the building and construction industry.

Safety and appearance is the most important. Repairing damaged buildings usually includes epoxy flooring to reestablish the functional condition while maintaining an investment. A company should select durable and decorative flooring at the same time.

Epoxy floor coating provides a sanitary and skid-proof surface even when wet. It is dust free and resistant to acids, suitable for any industry. Epoxy adheres well to surfaces made of concrete, metal, tiles, wood, and more. It has high resistance to abrasion and chemicals such as alkalis, gasoline, greases, thawing salts, and solvents. Adding colored silica makes the floor attractive.

There are long term benefits to epoxy coated patterns. They are more durable, and have a lower cost of maintenance. It is slip coefficient, exceeding national standards for floor slippage. The film forming coating applied to the floor achieves a specified level of finished gloss.

Epoxy floor coating gives beautiful appearance that will hold up to wear and tear. They are an essential way to give a good impression to customers. Customers want the impression that detail matters to the company. Lack of care for a floor could give customers the wrong idea about commitment to getting professional results.

Old patterns do not need to be entirely replaced in order to look good. Epoxy floor coatings are a way to give a dramatic and professional first impression without the extreme expense of a new floor that will not be as durable as epoxy coating. No matter what state a floor is in, epoxy can give it an even, shiny appearance.
Not only will epoxy floors look better, they will also be a financially responsible move for business. A floor that is able to support daily traffic will need few repairs. Concrete hardeners create a denser surface that is resistant to scratches. Color can be added with the concrete polish to create a beautiful show room or a floor that reflects school colors.

May it be residential or commercial building, concrete floor coating is indeed a must especially if you have the needed budget to make it possible. You just have to exert an effort and time for that, then it's a sure thing you will have the floor coating you've been dreaming to have. Right now, it's quite pricey because many people are still into it. But we will reach the point where the price of having it on our houses will be affordable.

I didn't realize that epoxy floor coatings have adjustable hardness ratings. That would make it really easy to get the flooring that you want in a restaurant or other commercial area. It would probably be best to go for a softer floor in a kitchen that workers need to stand in all day or a harder floor in a reception area that gets a lot of traffic.
