​Polyaspartic is a popular choice for garage floors because of its extremely durability and beauty. Polyaspartic is not recommended for new installers or DIY KIT Projects because it's cure speed requires a high degree of professional skill and experience. Polyaspartic Coatings – Pros
  • Temperature resistant – Product is temperature resistant at -30° Fahrenheit to +140° Fahrenheit.
  • Fast curing – The product has a fast cure time that is up to five times faster than epoxy
  • UV-resistant – polyaspartics hold-up better in direct sun light. It is non-yellowing and does not fade or peel with sun exposure
  • Stain-resistant – Polyaspartic provides a protective layer that is resistant to stains and is easy to clean
  • Durable – Polyaspartic dries extremely hard, but maintains some flexibility.
  • Decorative – select color and chip options for a customized appearance.
  • Low VOC and odor Polyaspatic is non for low odor and out-gassing.
  • Deeply penetrating – Polyaspartic “soaks into” concrete providing for greater durability.
Polyaspartic Coatings – Cons
  • Expensive – Polyaspartic is more expensive than epoxy. 
  • Professional installation recommended – You must have high degree of skill to apply Polyaspartic because of its fast cure time. You must be experienced and know how to apply it properly to assure a smooth, flawless finish.
  • Short pot life – Short “pot life”. Fast curing and drying.
  • Possible delamination – If a concrete floor gives off moisture polyaspartic can lose its bond.
