Regardless of who you hire for your floor installation, you must know the importance of proper floor prep and about the two common methods.Proper Floor Prep Determines Floor Quality & EnduranceFloor preparation is a job that must be handled by skilled technicians. The quality of every floor is determined by how well the floor surface is prepared. There are two common methods of preparing garage floors for epoxy coating application, Acid Etching and Diamond Grinding.
Acid Etching - Involves allowing the reaction of a dilute solution of hydrochloric acid to the concrete surface, then rinsing off with water. The acid chemically reacts with the top layer of cement particles, dissolving it and allowing it and other water-soluble contaminants to be washed away. Acid Etching should only be used where the floor receives light to moderate foot traffic. A more profiled surface is otherwise required.

Professional Installation: We use the very latest advance installation technology. We the highest commercial quality materials available today. Our installation process disciplined and precise. Our 5-step process starts with a 300 pound diamond grinder preparing your existing floor to a sandpaper like finish. This is required to insure a great bond with our industrial 2-part epoxy. We use 100% chip coverage so our floors look great looks great, like a terrazzo or granite finish. Next we apply a bonding sealer and a top coat of polyurea. The top coat we use is the absolute best available. It provides UV protection and a long lasting surface performance.
Professional Installation: We use the very latest advance installation technology. We the highest commercial quality materials available today. Our installation process disciplined and precise. Our 5-step process starts with a 300 pound diamond grinder preparing your existing floor to a sandpaper like finish. This is required to insure a great bond with our industrial 2-part epoxy. We use 100% chip coverage so our floors look great looks great, like a terrazzo or granite finish. Next we apply a bonding sealer and a top coat of polyurea. The top coat we use is the absolute best available. It provides UV protection and a long lasting surface performance.
Diamond Grinding - The use of a quality floor grinder with diamond tooling to quickly mechanically loosen old floor coatings such as paint, epoxy or carpet glue, while creating a perfect smooth base for the new floor covering that has opened capillaries. The opened capillaries make it possible for a solid-state bonding of the epoxy into the floor surface.

This creates a solid bond into the concrete.
