Question | Q: How does EPOXY work? A: EPOXY two components, when mixed together, start a chemical reaction (polymerization) changing the liquid mixture into the hard, durable, dense, chemically-resistant EPOXY film that remains. EPOXY controlled cure time allows a slow penetration of the concrete surface, tightly bonding the EPOXY coating to the concrete. |
Question | Q: A Lifetime Warranty sound to good to be true. Is that practical? Is that possible? A: If you owned a restaurant, you warranty would be 3 to 5 years. If you own a car dealership or oil change facility, the warranty would be 3 years. But, we feel very comfortable with providing residential clients a "Lifetime Warranty" for normal home use and wear and tear. The warranty does not cover damage caused by acetone, battery acid, or damage caused by dragging a heavy object across the surface such as heavy freezer. |
Question | Q: I hear horror stories of garage floors stained by oil, peeling or showing hot tire marks. Will this happen to your floor? A: Absolutely not. You can buy in confidence knowing that our floor is guaranteed not to peel, crack, stain, discolor, or show hot tire marks. In fact if you were to spill a gallon of paint, oil or water base, on it, do not try to clean it up. Just keep the pets and grand kids out of it until it completely drys. Then start peeling on one edge and peel the entire can up as a "huge" paint pancake! Our floor is that resistant to stains and chemicals. |
Question | Q: Will the floor be slippery? A: The floor surface texture can be made to your specification, as smooth or textured as you like. Smooth surfaces, though slightly easier to broom can be slippery when wet. Texturing can be applied to greatly enhance traction. Even though the floor coatings we apply are in compliance with OSHA standards, when wet they can be slippery as in almost any other surface. Before or during the installation process you can request we add aluminum oxide to the final coat so that there is an added slip resistance. The higher the gloss the more slippery when wet. |
Question | Q: Does EPOXY give off any harmful vapors or odors and is it safe for indoor use as in homes and businesses? A: Our EPOXY floor coating has low or virtually no V.O.C.s (Volatile Organic Compounds) or other harmful odors. It is very safe to use in any indoor application such as garages, basements, restaurants, kitchens, labs, wine cellars, day care centers, pharmaceutical labs, etc. It meets the Food and Drug Administation (FDA) regulations permitting use in food contact applications. |
